This policy explains what information Clayton Method collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers our website, claytonmethod.com, and Clayton Method OS, our business operating system app at claytonmethod.ai.

The short version: we collect what we need to talk with you, do our work and run Clayton Method OS. We also measure which pages people view and how fast they load, without cookies. We never sell your personal information, and we don't use it for targeted advertising.

Who we are

Clayton Method is the business name of Stargazers Unite LLC, based in Plano, Texas, USA. In this policy, “we,” “us” and “our” mean Stargazers Unite LLC, doing business as Clayton Method. We help businesses with websites, SEO and GEO, AI, custom apps, business systems and operations.

This policy covers:

Work we do for clients is also covered by the proposal or agreement we make with each client. This policy doesn't cover other companies' websites or apps, including accounts you connect to Clayton Method OS.

Information we collect

When you use claytonmethod.com

  • Contact form. When you use the “Prefer to write instead?” form, we collect your name, email address, phone number, business name and message. It's emailed to our inbox, info@claytonmethod.com, through our email provider, Resend. We use your phone number to call you back; giving it doesn't sign you up for text messages.
  • Newsletter. When you sign up for “Stay Current,” we collect your email address (and your name, if you give it) and add it to our mailing list in Clayton Method OS. We send a confirmation email first, and you're only subscribed once you confirm. A newsletter email can include a tiny image and tracked links, so we can see whether you opened it and which links you clicked. You can unsubscribe any time.
  • Server logs. Our host, Vercel, logs standard request data: your IP address, your browser and the pages you request. It's used to keep the site secure and reliable.
  • Visits and page speed. We measure which pages people view and how fast they load, without cookies. See Visits and page speed.
  • Fonts. Our site loads fonts from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when your browser requests them.

We don't use cookies for analytics, advertising or tracking on claytonmethod.com, and we don't use Google Analytics or advertising pixels. Our testimonial videos are hosted on our own site, not on YouTube or Vimeo.

When you book a call

Our booking calendar comes from Clayton Method OS and appears on our Book a Call page. When you book, we collect:

  • Your first and last name and email address
  • Your phone number, which our booking form asks for so we can reach you about your appointment
  • Any notes you add
  • The time you choose
  • Your choice on the optional text-message box, which stays unticked unless you tick itWe store this in Clayton Method OS. We use it to send confirmation and reminder emails and a link to join the video meeting, and we may call you about your appointment. We text you only if you tick the text-message box or text us first. See Text messages.

When you contact us or hire us

If you email us, text us or message us on WhatsApp, we receive your message along with your email address or phone number. If you hire us, we also receive the information you share with us for your project.

If you have a Clayton Method OS account

Clayton Method OS is our business operating system for clients. If you have an account, we collect:

  • Account details: your name, email address, sign-in credentials (handled by Supabase Auth) and workspace settings.
  • What you add to your workspace: contacts; conversations and messages (email, SMS, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and Instagram); calendar events; bookings; meetings, including recordings, transcripts and AI notes (using Recall.ai, Zoom and Google Calendar); payments and invoices (through Stripe; we don't store card numbers); documents; surveys; social posts; and automations.

Accounts you connect to Clayton Method OS

You choose which outside accounts to link. Depending on what you connect, we access:

  • Google: Google Calendar, to read and write events, and Gmail, to read and modify messages for the Inbox feature. See Google user data.
  • Meta: the WhatsApp Business Platform, Facebook Page messaging and Instagram messaging. See WhatsApp and Meta messaging.
  • Twilio: text messages (SMS).
  • Slack: notifications.
  • Zoom: meetings.
  • Stripe Connect: payments and invoices.
  • Bluesky: posting.

We store the credentials and access tokens for connected accounts in our database, which is encrypted at rest, and only your workspace can reach them. Keys for messaging channels (Twilio, Meta, Slack and Bluesky) are kept encrypted where only our servers can read them.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Reply to your messages and inquiries
  • Schedule and confirm calls, send reminders and share meeting links
  • Send our newsletter, if you signed up and confirmed
  • Send the text messages you've agreed to receive (see Text messages)
  • Run Clayton Method OS for your workspace, including the connected accounts and AI features you use
  • Do the work you hire us for, as set out in your proposal or agreement
  • Keep our websites and app secure and reliable
  • See which pages people view and how fast they load, so we can improve them
  • Meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations

Text messages

This section covers Clayton Method Text Messages, our text-message program. Messages come from our business number, (817) 328-8855. The full program terms are in the Text messages section of our Terms of Service.

What we send

We send replies to your inquiries, messages to schedule and confirm consultations, appointment reminders, and project updates. We don't send marketing messages.

How you opt in

  • Text us. Text START, or any message, to (817) 328-8855. Our number is published on claytonmethod.com next to a disclosure about these texts, in our website footer and on our Book a Call page.
  • Tick the box when you book. Our booking form at https://claytonmethod.ai/book/clayton-method/discovery-call (the same form appears on our Book a Call page) has an optional box that is unticked by default. To find it, choose a date and time and select Next; the box is under the Phone field. It is for US and Canadian mobile numbers, and you can book without ticking it. It is headed “Text messages from Clayton Method (optional).” and reads: “I agree to receive text messages from Clayton Method, sent from (817) 328-8855, about my appointments, inquiries and projects at the number I entered. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of booking or purchase.” Links to our Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy appear beside it.

Right after you opt in (for a paid booking, once the payment goes through), we text you a confirmation. If you texted us first, it reads: “Clayton Method: Thanks for texting us! You'll get texts about your inquiry, appointments and projects. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out.” If you ticked the box when booking, it opens with “You're signed up for texts.” instead.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

Opting out and getting help

  • Reply STOP at any time to opt out. STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, REVOKE and OPTOUT also work. You can also tell us in your own words, for example “Please stop texting me”, and we will stop.
  • Reply HELP (or INFO) for help. You can also reach us at info@claytonmethod.com or (817) 328-8855.
  • Reply START to opt back in. After you opt out, ticking the box on our booking form does not sign you back up; only texting START (or YES or UNSTOP) does.

Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Consent is not a condition of booking or purchase.

What we collect and how we use it

When you opt in, we keep your mobile number, your consent to receive texts and the messages we exchange. When you tick the box on our booking form, we also record the date and time, your IP address, your browser details and the wording you agreed to, as the record of your consent. We use them to send the texts described above, to reply to you, and to honor your STOP and HELP requests.

We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

WhatsApp and Meta messaging

Our business number, (817) 328-8855, is also on WhatsApp through Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform. If you message us there, your messages reach us through Meta, and we reply the same way. We receive your messages and the phone number you message from. We don't sell your number or your messages, and we don't share them for marketing.

If you connect Meta accounts to Clayton Method OS

If you choose to connect them, Clayton Method OS links to your WhatsApp Business account, your Facebook Page messages and your Instagram messages, so you can manage those conversations in your workspace. We use this access only to provide those features, and we don't use it for advertising. Your access tokens are kept encrypted where only our servers can read them, never in your browser.

Meta's policies

Your use of WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram is also covered by Meta's own policies, including the Meta Privacy Policy and the WhatsApp Privacy Policy.

To remove Clayton Method's access or ask us to delete your data, follow the steps in How to delete your data.

Google user data

This section applies if you connect a Google account to Clayton Method OS. We access Google data only after you choose to connect and approve access on Google's consent screen.

What we access

  • Google Calendar events. We read and write events on your calendar.
  • Gmail messages. We read and modify your messages for the Inbox feature.

Why we access it

We use Google data only to show and manage your calendar and inbox inside Clayton Method OS, at your request. That means displaying your events and email, making the changes you ask for, and running the AI features you choose to use on them, such as drafting a reply.

How we store and protect it

Your Google access tokens are stored in our database, which is encrypted at rest, and only your workspace can reach them. Google data we keep is stored in your Clayton Method OS workspace in our database, which runs on Supabase. It travels over HTTPS. Access controls enforced in the database (row-level security) keep each workspace's data separate, and staff access is limited.

How we use and share it

  • We don't sell Google user data, and we don't transfer it to advertising platforms, data brokers or information resellers.
  • We don't use it to serve ads, including retargeted, personalized or interest-based ads.
  • We don't use it to develop, improve or train generalized AI or machine-learning models.
  • We don't use it to determine credit-worthiness or for lending.
  • We transfer it only as needed to provide the features you use, and only to the service providers that help run them, such as our hosting and database providers (Vercel and Supabase).
  • If you turn on automatic meeting recording, your Google Calendar is shared with Recall.ai, our meeting-recording provider, so its notetaker can join the meetings you choose to record.
  • When you use an AI feature on Google data, the relevant content is sent to Anthropic to produce the result. For example, if you ask for a draft reply to an email, that email's content is sent to Anthropic. Anthropic's commercial terms do not permit it to train its models on that content.
  • We may also transfer it when needed for security, such as investigating abuse, or to comply with the law.
  • We would transfer it as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of our business only after getting your explicit consent.

Who can read it

No one at Clayton Method reads your Google data unless:

  • you give us permission for specific data;
  • it's needed for security, such as investigating abuse;
  • it's needed to comply with the law; or
  • it has been aggregated and anonymized and is used for our internal operations.

Clayton Method's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Removing access

You can remove Clayton Method OS's access at any time at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions. To delete Google data we already hold, follow the steps in How to delete your data.

AI features

Clayton Method OS includes AI features for drafting replies, summarizing meetings, AI agents and content suggestions. When an AI feature runs, we send the content it needs to Anthropic, our AI provider, to produce the result.

Anthropic's commercial terms do not permit it to train its models on that content. When an AI feature works with Google data, the rules in Google user data also apply.

How we share information

We never sell your personal information, and we don't use it for targeted advertising. We share it only in the situations below. Google user data follows the stricter rules in Google user data.

Service providers

These companies help us run our websites and Clayton Method OS. We share information with them only as needed for the service each one provides.

  • Vercel for hosting, and for measuring visits and page speed
  • Supabase for our database, sign-in and file storage
  • Resend for email delivery
  • Twilio for text messages (SMS)
  • Meta for WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and Instagram messaging
  • Google for Google Calendar and Gmail when you connect them, and for Google Fonts on claytonmethod.com
  • Stripe for payments
  • Zoom and Recall.ai for meetings, recordings and transcripts
  • Anthropic for AI features
  • Slack for notifications, if you connect it

Accounts you connect

When you connect an outside account to Clayton Method OS, such as Google, Meta, Twilio, Slack, Zoom, Stripe or Bluesky, information passes between that service and your workspace at your direction. That service's own privacy policy covers what it does with it.

With your permission

We share information in other ways only when you ask us to or agree to it.

We may share information when the law requires it, such as to answer a valid legal request, or when it's needed to protect the safety, rights or property of our clients, the public or Clayton Method.

If our business changes hands

If Clayton Method is merged, sold or reorganized, information may be transferred to the new owner as part of that deal. Google user data would move only with your explicit consent.

Text-message data

We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as the providers that deliver and store our text messages (Twilio and Supabase), is permitted. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Customers of businesses that use Clayton Method OS

Businesses use Clayton Method OS to work with their own customers. When a business adds or connects its customers' information, such as contacts, messages, bookings, meetings, payments and survey responses, that business decides what is collected and how it's used. We process that information on the business's behalf and follow its instructions.

This includes booking pages and surveys a business publishes through Clayton Method OS, and texts, WhatsApp and other messages it sends through the accounts it connects. Those messages come from the business, not from our text-message program.

We also measure visits to the pages a business publishes through Clayton Method OS. We do that for ourselves, not for the business. See Visits and page speed.

If you're a customer of one of these businesses, please contact that business first with questions or requests about your information.

Visits and page speed

claytonmethod.com and Clayton Method OS, including the booking calendar on our Book a Call page, use two tools from our host, Vercel. Vercel Web Analytics shows us which pages people view. Vercel Speed Insights shows us how fast those pages load. Each time you view a page, they record details such as:

  • The page and the time you viewed it
  • The website you came from, if any
  • Your approximate location, such as your country and city
  • Your browser, operating system and type of device
  • How fast the page loaded and responded, and your connection speed, such as 4GVercel works out your approximate location from your IP address, but it doesn't store your IP address with these records. These tools don't use cookies. Instead, Vercel tells visitors apart with a code made from your browser's request. It discards that code after 24 hours, but it keeps the records themselves longer. See How long we keep information.

We see the results only as totals, and we use them to improve our pages and keep them fast. We don't use them for advertising, and they don't follow you from site to site.

These tools also run on the pages businesses publish through Clayton Method OS, such as their booking pages, surveys and link pages. We measure those visits for ourselves, to keep Clayton Method OS working well. The business doesn't choose this, and it doesn't see what these tools record.

We trim the address of each page you view before these tools send it. We keep the page itself and any campaign tags (the utm_ tags that show which campaign or link brought you), and drop everything else. In Clayton Method OS, we also replace the private code in personal links, such as a link to manage your booking or sign a document, with a placeholder.

Cookies

claytonmethod.com doesn't set advertising or analytics cookies. The embedded booking calendar doesn't set tracking cookies either. Our site loads fonts from Google Fonts. Our site sets no cookies for that, but Google receives your IP address when your browser fetches the fonts.

Clayton Method OS (claytonmethod.ai) uses strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in. It doesn't use advertising cookies.

How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the reasons in this policy, or as long as the law requires.

  • Messages, contact-form emails and bookings: as long as we need them to reply, follow up and keep a record of our work together.
  • Newsletter: you stay on our mailing list until you unsubscribe.
  • Visit and page-speed records: Vercel keeps visit records for 12 months on our plan and says it may keep them longer. It doesn't publish a set period for page-speed records.
  • Clayton Method OS workspaces: while the workspace is active, or until the client asks us to delete it.
  • Invoices, tax records and other records the law requires: as long as the law requires.

When you ask us to delete your data, we do it within 30 days, except for records the law requires us to keep.

How we protect information

We protect information with:

  • HTTPS everywhere, so data is encrypted as it travels.
  • Per-workspace access controls enforced in the database (row-level security), so each Clayton Method OS workspace can reach only its own data.
  • Encrypted storage for connected-account credentials and tokens. Keys for messaging channels are kept encrypted where only our servers can read them.
  • Sign-in handled by Supabase Auth.
  • Limited staff access.

No system is perfectly secure. If a security incident affects your information, we'll notify you as the law requires.

Your rights and choices

You can ask us to:

  • See the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct anything that's wrong.
  • Delete your information. See How to delete your data.

You can also:

  • Stop newsletter emails at any time with the unsubscribe link in any newsletter, or by emailing us.
  • Stop text messages by replying STOP.
  • Remove access to your Google or Meta accounts through their settings. See How to delete your data.

To make a request, email info@claytonmethod.com or call (817) 328-8855. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act on it. Depending on where you live, you may have more rights under local privacy laws, and we'll honor them as those laws require.

How to delete your data

You can ask us to delete your personal data at any time. Here's how.

Email us

  • Email info@claytonmethod.com with the subject line Delete my data.
  • Include the email address or phone number you used with us, so we can find your records.
  • We'll confirm your request and delete your data within 30 days. The only exceptions are records the law requires us to keep, such as invoices and tax records.

If you connected Facebook, Instagram or WhatsApp

  • In Facebook, go to Settings & privacy → Settings, then open Apps and websites or Business integrations.
  • Remove Clayton Method.
  • Email us as described above so we can delete the data we already hold.

If you connected Google

If your information is in Clayton Method OS because you're a customer of one of our clients, please contact that business first. See Customers of businesses that use Clayton Method OS.

Children's privacy

Our websites and services are meant for businesses and the adults who run them. They're not directed to children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you think a child has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services change. When we do, we'll post the new version on this page and update the date at the top. If a change significantly affects how we handle your information, we'll let clients know by email.
